For a while, I've been just been posting my work and forgetting it, letting it live here until I wanted to show it to someone I knew in person.  So far, I haven't had anybody react negatively to my paes, and even people who are somewhat indifferent to me personally really seem to jive with the antics of Molly and her singing snack-munchers.

To my surprise, I noticed that there were a number of people on DeviantArt who had somehow stumbled on my gallery or posts and liked it enough to add a page to their favorites.  People have even given me llamas, though I still don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing.  Even more surprising, the apparent favorite of the lot of my work seems to be a quickie sketch of Songpae/Gamerpae doing graffiti that I almost didn't post in the first place.

Just prior to writing this, I made a few folders in my gallery and organized it to separate the full-featured comics pages from the random stuff I do in between, and I reordered the comics so they appear in proper chronological order rather than newest-first, to make for an easier read.  My gallery had 48 images in it, going back almost a full year when I finally decided to clean it up, with some salvaged work from a comic I drew at work back in 2006 thrown in just to show where the characters came from.

My plan over the past year or so has been to get a scanner and a second desk with a good light on it so I can draw at home (right now, everything is done while I'm at work, between calls) and scan crisp clean images rather than snapping cell phone selfies of my sketchbook, and then figure out some method of doing the comics digitally or semi-digitally.  Then, once I'm producing web-friendly content, get a comics-style website and a Patreon account.

Of course, having a comics website and Patreon would require that I have followers, and I've been posting to a site perfect to attract and interact with followers but not even using those resources.  Silly me.  Time to change that.

Moving forward, I'll be working with tags so new people will be able to find my work, and I'll make a point to spend time poking around the DeviantArt community and seeing what other people are doing.  It's a community, after all, not a personal dumpsite.  It's time I started participating in the community.
